Like rubber, plastic is also used in watch straps as they are more affordable to create and can be used to create different colours and styles to fit alongside the watch.
Fabric watches give a more casual comfortable feel to a watch, as well as practical wear for every day. It is also used for different variations of straps for sports watches, again due to providing comfort to the wearer.
